Teacher to appear on radio show:Dundee-Crown High School teacher Gary Swick will be a guest on WRMN 1410 AM from 8:15 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, to discuss the past and future of the environmental science program in Community Unit District 300. Anyone with complaints regarding electioneering, illegally placed campaign signs or denial of voting rights, among other issues, can call (630) 208-5328. The hotline is staffed by representatives of the state's attorney's office who are prepared to travel to polling places. Voters seeking polling times, places and other general information should not call the Election Complaint Line but rather the Kane County Clerk's Election Help Line at (630) 232-5990.Be safe when snowmobiling:The McHenry County Sheriff's Office will be hosting the Illinois Department of Natural Resources' Snowmobile Safety Certification Course on Saturday, Feb. 13, Sunday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, March 13. The course, open to anyone 12 years or older, will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the sheriff's office's Training Division, at the McHenry County Government Center in Woodstock. The course covers The maintenance and repair of snowmobiles, proper and safe operation, history of snowmobiling, first aid, protection of the environment and state snowmobiling laws.
