"It was everything small school basketball should be about," Westminster Christian coach Bruce Firchau said. "I was very pleased with our defense in the second half, holding Rockford Christian Life to 13 points and 3 in the fourth quarter."

St. Edward 51, Guerin 34: The Green Wave notched their second Suburban Christian Gold win of the season in River Grove. Senior guard D.J. Byrnes paced St. Edward (10-12, 2-5) with 13 points, including four 3-pointers, and senior center Zack Von Ahnen added 7 points.

Harvard 42, Hampshire 40: The Hornets (6-16, 2-5) pulled the upset against visiting Hampshire in a Big Northern East game after holding the Whip-Purs to 11 first-half points. Despite a game-high 14 points from senior guard Shyler Ralphs, Hampshire (11-8, 4-2) dropped its third straight. Havard won its fourth in 5 games.

Morgan Park Academy 70, Elgin Academy 48: Aaron Thomas scored 13 points, Paul Leonardis scored 11 and Patrick Martinak contributed 10, but it wasn't enough to offset the prolific Warriors in an Independent School League matchup in Chicago. The Hilltoppers (4-16, 0-9) dropped their third straight.
