Mayor Mulder should look closely at Mike Sidor

The recent resignation of Trustee Helen Jensen has left a vacancy on the Arlington Heights Village Board. According to village code, Mayor Mulder has the responsibility to name a replacement and I'm certain she has a list of candidates that she is considering. I would like to add Mike Sidor's name to that list if it isn't already there.

Mike ran an excellent campaign for trustee during last April's election, garnering the next largest number of votes after Trustee Rosenberg.

Mike is very active in Arlington Heights issues in many areas, showing his dedication to working on behalf of the people of the village. As candidate for trustee, Mike studied and debated last year's budget and attended the village budget meetings. That, coupled with his entrepreneurial background and experience as a businessman, makes him well-qualified to work with other members of the village board to address the budget challenges that are facing the village.

In an editorial during last year's campaign, the Daily Herald stated that Mike Sidor "...is a solid and thoughtful candidate." I know many Arlington Heights residents will agree that Mike has demonstrated his commitment to serving the village, and that he is an excellent choice to fill the vacant trustee position.
