Other events include a wine and beer sampling from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28; dinner dance and bachelor auction from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, Jan. 29; "Groundhog Day" movie symposium from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29; free showings of the 1993 film, "Groundhog Day," at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30 and Sunday, Jan. 31 at the Woodstock Cinema; pancake breakfast from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 31; and the Groundhog Day Prognostication and Breakfast starting at 7:07 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2.

Many of the weekend's activities are free; for details on tickets, visit the Web site.

The 2010 Woodstock Groundhog Days festivities are sponsored by Home State Bank. Funds from the city of Woodstock's hotel tax were used to create the new Web site. Those funds are designed to promote tourism in Woodstock.

Committee member Rick Bellairs said, "Each year, we get people from not only all around Chicagoland but even people traveling in from out of state."

The Web site includes pictures from previous year's events, the schedule for this year and something that can be used anytime - a map of some of the sites around town used in the making of the Bill Murray movie in 1992.
