You can begin your holiday shopping and benefit Batavia United Way Saturday, Nov. 3.

Batavia United Way is sponsoring a ladies' night out shopping event from 7 to 10 p.m. in Shannon Hall at the Batavia Park District's East Side Community Center, 14 N. Van Buren St.

Before holiday chaos takes over, mark your calendar to shop the more than 20 vendors for gifts for the host, holiday presents, and of course, gifts to treat yourself. Admission for browsers and shoppers is free. You'll also enjoy live music, refreshments and the opportunity to win great raffle prizes.

Vendors attending include: Bema and Pa's Products (flavored oils and salts), Chain 3 Creations, Chiro One, Discovery Toys, Diva Starr Accessories, For All Occasions, Gold Rush Girls, Jewelry by JaTh, Mary Kay, Organo Gold Beverages, Pampered Chef, PartyLite Candles, Pashmina's Travels, Pierette, Premier Designs Jewelry, Scentsy, Send Out Cards, Somewhat Organic Soaps, Stampin Up Cards, Style Me 2, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, and Vemma Nutrition Products.

Attendees can bring their unwanted gold and platinum and Gold Rush Girls will evaluate, weigh it and make you an offer.

A few vendor booths are still available. These cost $30 each or $35 for spaces with electricity access and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information on how to become a vendor, contact the event chairwoman, Rebecca Mayer through Batavia United Way at (630) 879-4041. You can also contact Jody Haltenhof, Executive Director of Batavia United Way, at the same number, or email her at jody@bataviaunitedway.org.

All proceeds generated through the table fees, raffles, and concessions go directly to supporting Batavians in need. Batavia United Way is a nonprofit community based organization that helped more than 6,000 Batavians last year by granting more than $80,000 to local groups.
