Concert to benefit Fox theater arts academy

Rehearsals are already under way for Fox Country Players' annual benefit concert, "A Night of Broadway," which will be staged at 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at the Community Christian Church, 129 Commercial Drive in Yorkville.

A number of talented community vocalists, along with Chicago theater professionals, will perform songs from the great Broadway musicals, including "Les Miserables," "Lion King," "West Side Story," "Carousel," "Oliver," and "Guys and Dolls." "Goya," "Songs for a New World," "Into the Woods," and "Sunset Boulevard."

The event will include a silent auction in support of Fox Country Players' Theatre Arts Academy. The auction will include a wide variety of donated items, services, and tickets for shows and events.

Doors will open at 6 p.m. for bidding on silent auction items, prior to the concert at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $15, and may be purchased at the door or through www.foxcountryplayers.org.
